New pictures of dual idler setup
Old photos
spacer-in-pulley.jpg - this shows how far the spacer sticks out the idler
spacers1.jpg - side by side spacers.
left = SCH 10 rib spacer with washer
Next = Vortech COG spacer
Next = Vortech 8 rib spacer
Right = SCH 8 rib spacer
125-washer-and-spacer.jpg - shows the .125 washer installed over the SCH spacer. A 16mm washer was a perfect fit and searching through a whole box with my dial indicator got me one that was an even .125 and one that was an even .120!
idler-side.jpg - side view of idler on the front plate
idler-front.jpg - front view of idler
back-plate-installed.jpg - back plate installed. Only issue was drilling out the hole for the alternator bolt.
front-plate-installed.jpg - front plate and idler adjuster installed
complete.jpg - complete but it was dark so the picture sucks.
I experimented with the .120 and the .125 washers. I used a straight edge between the pulleys to find the best alignment. What I found was the idler appears to always be tipped with the side towards the water pump around 2 thousandths inward. Not a huge issue. I will try to do some drawings to explain - but not tonight....
